Since its launch in 2013, the compact SUV has become one of Porsche\u2019s most successful models worldwide. In 2024 alone, 82,795 Macan vehicles were delivered to customers across the globe.<\/p>\n

A Model That Symbolizes Growth and Transformation<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe Macan is inseparably linked to Leipzig,\u201d said Gerd Rupp<\/strong>, Chairman of the Management Board of Porsche Leipzig GmbH. \u201cIt represents growth and change like no other, symbolising both the site\u2019s expansion into a full factory between 2011 and 2013 and the plant\u2019s entry into the era of electromobility.\u201d<\/p>\n

The decision to build the Macan in Leipzig, taken in 2011, transformed the former assembly plant into a complete factory with its own body shop and paint shop, creating 1,500 new jobs in the region.<\/p>\n

From Combustion to Electric: A Flexible Production Site<\/h2>\n

Over the past 12 years, the Macan has positioned Porsche as a key economic driver in Central Germany. In 2024, production of the fully electric second-generation Macan began, marking another leap forward. Today, the Leipzig plant produces vehicles with combustion, hybrid, and electric powertrains on a single highly flexible production line.<\/p>\n

The Anniversary Car: A Striking Macan 4<\/h2>\n

The one-millionth Macan is a Macan 4 in Frozen Blue Metallic<\/strong>. Its standout features include:<\/p>\n

Its range extends up to 612 km, and fast charging (10\u201380% in ~21 minutes on 800V DC chargers) ensures everyday convenience.<\/p>\n

His factory collection experience included a guided test drive on the plant\u2019s racetrack, featuring corners inspired by world-famous circuits.<\/p>\n

The site\u2019s Porsche Experience Center, with racetrack and off-road course, further reflects the brand\u2019s customer-focused spirit.<\/p>\n
