Toyota Avalon 2025 returns again, but where?
In a surprising move for luxury car enthusiasts, Toyota previously announced the cessation of production for the “Avalon” model in most global markets, including the Saudi market, with the 2022 version being the last in the markets. However, the company did not leave fans of the premium sedan high and dry, as it launched a modern and distinctive alternative named “Crown” to replace the “Avalon”. Despite the end of Avalon’s production in most countries, the Japanese brand has not completely pulled the curtain, as it continues to support this elegant model exclusively in the Chinese market, in collaboration with its local partner “FAW“.
Exterior Design

The car maintains its renowned elegance with some minor updates compared to the previous version, with the new Avalon featuring two different front grille options depending on the trim level, giving each version a distinctive and unique character. As for the dimensions, the car measures 4,990 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, which enhances its elegant presence on the roads and reaffirms Toyota’s commitment to providing a luxurious and refreshing experience for fans of sedans.
Interior Cabin
In a move that reflects Toyota’s commitment to meeting the needs of the Chinese market, leaked images of the new Chinese version of Toyota Avalon 2025 have emerged, which is expected to be launched in July 2025. The images show noticeable updates in both the interior and exterior design, including a new flat-bottom steering wheel, a digital instrument panel (LCD), an updated central entertainment screen, and a redesigned center console.
Power and Performance
The leaks revealed the anticipated performance details for the Toyota Avalon 2025, which will be available with two engine options catering to different needs. The first option is a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing up to 172 horsepower, providing an excellent balance between performance and efficiency. The second option is a hybrid engine with a capacity of 2.5 liters and 185 horsepower, designed to offer drivers a more efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience thanks to Toyota’s advanced hybrid technology, enhancing fuel economy without sacrificing dynamic performance. These options give Avalon 2025 a strong presence in the luxury sedan segment in the Chinese market.
Avalon 2025 Expectations in the Saudi Market
After replacing the Toyota Avalon with the Crown model in the Saudi market, the Chinese version of Avalon 2025 is expected to remain exclusive to the Chinese market, as it is manufactured in collaboration with FAW Group.
Currently, there are no indications that Toyota intends to reintroduce Avalon to other markets, including Saudi Arabia. Therefore, it is likely that the company’s focus will remain on the Crown model as an alternative to Avalon in the region, unless unexpected future changes occur.
